Can someone please give me an example of AOP that doesn't use logging?

aop can be used for: transactions (http://www.springframework.org), caching (http://www.beust.com/aop-thread.html), throttling, management (exposing objects as mbeans) (http://www.ftponline.com/special/opsmgmt/iordanov/default_pf.asp), access control (object filter), remoting (http://jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=ClusteredAOPRemoting), monitoring etc.
